Hosted this week by Stuart Morrison of Insomnia Radio

Stuart Morrison from Insomnia Radio hosts this week’s AMPed

  1. Verden En Enkel
    Submited by Ro of DarkCompass

Honningbarna are a 5 piece from Kristiansand in Norway, and with a new album under their belt have toured Europe during May and June, playing to packed venues, and even The Great Escape where other music podcasters got the chance to see them.

This track is the title track of the album and is available at their website and wherever good downloads are available.

  2. Games
Submited by Yannick Mauray of Euterpia Radio

I couldn’t find a lot of information about The Windy City on the internet, except that they are from Cape Town, South Africa, and they formed in 2010.

They released their self titled EP on Jamendo in april 2011, from which this track, “Games”, is taken.

And that’s pretty much all I got !

The music is good and I don’t need any more reason or info to play it on my show and to submit it to AMPed !

  3. Fake Like You Kiss
    , by PTO
Submited by Stuart Morrison of Insomnia Radio

In the vein of Superchunk, Dinosaur Jr., and Guided by Voices emerges the excellent new Salt Lake City band PTO, who officially released their debut album, Pointless, this past September.

  4. Face
Submited by Stuart Morrison of Insomnia Radio: UK

The Title track from the UK band Luxury Stranger’s new EP just released on af-music

  5. Stone Marten Blues
Submited by Peter Clitheroe of Suffolk ‘n’ Cool

    Electric blues from Rome!
With parents deeply into the blues it’s no surprise that, even before he was born, Davide was being influenced by Clapton!
It has taken a while to get to his first album, BORN ELECTRIC, which was recorded with the trio Loud Stuff and is almost entirely made up of songs written by Davide and featuring special guests including Robben Ford.

  6. Summer Skin
Submited by Justin Wayne of The Justin Wayne Show

This Brooklyn band is, fun, loud, and talented. They’ve been playing in basements and strange corners all around the northeast of the USA and “Summer Skin” is a great exposition not only of their current sound, but a great friggin’ guitar song to play with the top down (or the window open, should you not have a convertible.) This comes from their most recent release, Modern Dances.

  7. Beyond Us
Submited by Graham Holland of Liverpool Acoustic Spotlight

Martyn Joseph is an electrifying live performer who has been described as the Welsh version of both Woody Guthrie and Bruce Springstein. He’s currently touring the UK off the back of his new album Tales For The Coming Home which is available to buy from his website and digital download sites.

  8. Black Dog Sin
Submited by Jonny of Edinburgh Man Podcast

This is the title track from Joshua Burnside’s ‘Black Dog Sin’ EP, released in February 2013.

  9. Life Gets In The Way
Submited by Chris from Canada of Insomnia Radio: Canada

Ian Gosbee is from Halifax Nova Scotia Canada.
