It is often said that the greatest inspiration comes to you when you’re not looking for it. Almost meditative, in the space between the quiet subconscious and creative ambition, it waits for us.

Portland Maine’s Port of Est is a soundtrack and score born out of this place. This experimental/electronic pop duo is ideal for channeling your next scene, and a worthy accomplice as you trek through the depths of your own subconscious.

  3. Sucker Punch

Submited by Matt Brier of Idiosyncratic Transmissions

The Magic Lightnin Boys play good old fashioned blues rock. The grungy kind you’d hear coming out of a bar in New Orleans. “Sucker Punch” is from their debut self titled album released in 2015.

  4. Riot Squad

Submited by Stuart Morrison of Insomnia Radio

The Plates is a Denver based Punk/Reggae band featuring original Samples drummer Jeep Macnichol, original Heavyweight Dub Champion frontman Stero Lion, and Kingston Jamaica bassist Ian Anderson.

“Earth Moon Version” is their 2nd album, was recorded in a month, and captures a fire and unpolished tone inspired by Who drummer Keith Moon.

  5. Spread Your Wings

Submited by Dave & Caroline of The Bugcast

Niki is an recording artist/songwriter from the small country town of Springhill, Louisiana, with a powerful, unforgettable and melodic voice. She crafts poignant lyrics and creates music with a Soul-Funk-R&B sound that you can feel. From her roots as the lead soloist in her hometown church choir to the recently completed touring, her talent has continued to evolve as of the strongest voices in music.
